#133 - Being Present
in Presence

Present: Fully focussed on or involved in what one is doing or experiencing.

Presence: Awareness, open and receptive to Source being present in that moment.

Pondering the inconceivable and unfathomable.

Eckhart Tolle, in his groundbreaking work ‘The Power of Now’, and others, have suggested there is no past and no future, that everything is happening simultaneously in this moment of now.

This is almost impossible for the mind to grasp, because we have memories, we were born and we will die, we can postulate some future in our mind and we can go back and recall things that we had when we were a child.

But ponder this.

What if everything is simultaneous moments of now, that we are multifaceted, multidimensional, infinite beings, having this human experience and everything is happening in this moment of now?

How would change things for you?

What we are perceiving with our eyes and experiencing, is a moment of now and there is no future, there is no past.

In a practical sense, whenever we do ponder and think about the past and postulate a future, that's all done in present time.

We sit in thought, here in a present moment and scan back and bring our past up into present time and see it.

"Ahh…there's the white picket fence that was around our house when I was four years of age".

or

"This is what I'd like to be doing in five years’ time".

We are bringing the future into present time and mocking it up, postulating what it could be like, and because we don't know with certainty what the future holds for us, so it is just an idea or vision at this time.

So, the present moment is the only one that counts.

Because we can't do anything about the past. We can't change it, we can't reshape it, we can only look at what occurred in that moment.

And not one of us knows what's going to happen with precise 100% accuracy, what the future holds for us.

There is only this moment, this precious, sacred moment and what a shame it would be to waste that, by not being present, not be mindful and present in this this moment, experiencing exactly what is happening.

Be it pleasant or unpleasant, (as labels).

If you look at the long history of the universe, or the bygone days of this planet, the sheer volume of people past and present, and how much life we've had, this moment, less than a nanosecond in time, poof, it has gone!

What a pity to have missed it!

Mindfulness and being present is the key and emersing oneself in the presence of this moment, is really a joyful experience.

Applying non-resistance to what is occurring in this present moment, is very, very powerful.

And in this present moment, as we practice and really fulfil it to the magnitude of what it is, this is the real us who we are experiencing.

We are getting a taste of the infinite.

We are getting a sense of our expansiveness, our power, the true essence of who we are.

So let's be present.

"Your consciousness
is faceted to express light into multiple systems of existence."
